Stoner promise to perform well in Le Mans

Australian Casey Stoner wants his MotoGP season at the famous Le Mans circuit in France kick off this weekend. Stoner had a difficult start to the year 2010, crash in the opening period of Grand Prix in Qatar before the fifth rank in Spain earlier this month. But if the Ducati rider back with a victory at Le Mans on Sunday he needs to overcome to do history.

In four starts at Le Mans Grand Prix Stoner best finish third in 2007 and has never started from pole position on the track. Ducati record is not much better, with Loris Capirossi in second place in 2006, the best team in Le Mans. "Because of the stop-go nature of the circuit in Le Mans, you need a bike that is very stable on the brakes but agile and quick off the road, especially in the slow passages," said Stoner.

"In the past we have often managed to be quick and run to the front, but we never leave with the results, which we had hoped." This year I think we can have higher expectations that the last two seasons there and we will certainly do our best to answer them. "But despite the disappointing results of the Italian brand in Le Mans, the owner of Stoner said this year the team has the bike at the end of drought." We have never produced extraordinary results in Le Mans, but this year I expect a good race I told both our drivers, team manager of Ducati Vittoriano Guareschi.

"Casey and Nicky (Hayden) are in good shape and GP10, with its more linear power curve, put less emphasis on this track and the tire should treat it easier for the driver to the title." The French Grand Prix, third stage of the MotoGP championship at Le Mans on Sunday

New Class of MotoGP

New specifications for each age group are trained as FIM sees fit. At the beginning of the new MotoGP era in 2002, 500cc two-stroke or 990cc four-stroke motorcycles have specified in the race. The advantage of the enormous power of the largest displacement four-stroke engines during the two times to the two shots from the competition the following season only two-stroke bikes were racing to remove. In 2007, the maximum capacity was 800 cc without reducing the weight restrictions were reduced.
MotoGP-class motorcycles are not limited to a specific engine configuration. However, the number of cylinders provided in the motorcycle engine uses the minimum weight allowed more bottles more weight than a form of disability to win. This is because for a given capacity, a multi-cylinder engine is necessary in the situation more power. If comparable bore stroke ratios are used a multi-cylinder engine will have an area of the piston and a shorter stroke.

The increased piston area permits an increase in the total valve area so that more air and fuel are sucked in the engine, and the shorter stroke permits higher speeds on the same piston speed, allowing the engine pump more Air and fuel with the potential for more power to produce but with a higher rate. In 2004, motorcycles with any three, four and five-cylinder configurations. A six-cylinder engine was proposed by Blata, but did not reach the MotoGP grids. Currently, four-cylinder engines seem to be the best compromise between weight, performance and fuel economy that all competitors offer in the 2009 series use this solution as "V" or an online configuration.
In 2002, the FIM has become concerned about the progress of the development and construction which have led to higher speeds at the race track. been introduced to improve safety, regulatory changes in terms of weight, the quantity of remaining fuel and engine capacity. The amended rules reduced engine capacity from 800cc to 990cc and limit the amount of fuel for the race distance from 26 liters to 21 liters in 2004 for the years 2007 and beyond. Additionally, the minimum weight of 4-cylinder bike by all the participating teams has increased use of 3 kg.
The highest speed for a MotoGP bike 349.288kph (217,037 hours miles), followed by Dani Pedrosa set Repsol Honda RC212V riding a 800cc for a practice session at the 2009 Motorcycle Grand Prix of Italy.
On 11 December 2009, the Grand Prix Commission announced that the MotoGP class was the 1000 cc engine from the 2012 season limit. Maximum stay will be limited to 1,000 cc, is would a maximum of four and maximum cylinder bore of 81 mm.Carmelo capped Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, said the proposed changes have been positively received by the teams.

Classes of 125cc and 250cc

125cc machines are limited to a single cylinder and a minimum weight of 80 kg and the 250cc engine with two cylinders and a minimum of 100 kilograms. From 2005, all riders in the 125cc class that can not be older than 28 years or 25 years for new contracted riders participating for the first time and wild-cards.

In 2008, discussions arose around the replacement of the 2-stroke 250cc class with another class. Replacing the switch to 600cc 4-stroke engines, the current 250 was completed in June 2008 and 2010 in force.
